Everything you did seems ok! let's try these steps:
docker-machine stop defaultdocker-machine start defaultdocker psif it list anything dodocker stop {container-ID}thendocker rm {container-ID}docker ps -aif it list anything dodocker rm {container-ID}docker-compose up
