Is there a way I could split up the upload so that each submission is within the limit? I'm happy to look at the code but wanted to know if this is something possible via the api and the way the current code is structured. Thanks

I don't think so, it's a single form publication. If you find a similar feature in the Garmin Connect website it could be done, but I'm afraid it's not possible at the moment
