The University of Akron V.E.S.T. program uses Unity within the Microsoft HoloLens to aid astronauts using Immersive Action Units (IAU’s) to guide the astronaut. Inside of every IAU are multiple information units that can be found in the form of video, 3D models, audio, images, and text. Our one of a kind platform can use both the HoloLens gesture click command as well as voice commands to navigate throughout the program. Currently the system uses telemetry data to represent an astronauts status in space. Then our system displays the simulated data to the user. The telemetry data then runs while the individual is attempting the current tasks such as rerouting power and disabling an alarm with which the IAU’s are created.
