Oh that's a slightly covoluted example, are you able to isolate the issue with a simpler repro ?

I tried to execute this code but i get all sort of failures and crashes, you are opening lua threads and then closing them, which will actually destroy the main state.

i can make it work like this:

but this way its not using the luaref cb
