as agreed during our last discussion with @ant31 , we're going to remove sysvinit support.

Is it that problematic to support both for the two or three services that need init system support?

I would prefer to support both.
As most os runs systemd we have deproritized it (lack of time). If we receive contrib or find init.d scripts we will add them for sure :)

I will most likely need to support ubuntu14.04 for a while to come. This will mean I need that support.

@Smana - In some regards, I'm more interested in you not deleting support. I'll try and support as needed. I just don't want it ripped out of the tree yet.
