until I figured out how to enable at least rudimentary logging.

That’s exactly what’s in WeasyPrint’s documentation. 😉

I think it would be really neat if flask-weasyprint would forward the weasyprint logs to flask, so they get handled by the app.logger.

Keeping different logs for different libraries is actually a better solution. You want to merge them, but other may prefer to keep them separated.

Fortunately, Flask’s documentation gives a nice snippet to configure the different loggers with the same handlers. Is that what you want?
