Can't set uid, gid with Ruby 1.9.3 about eye HOT 3 CLOSED

eye using ruby function Process::spawn to spawn process, and only from ruby 2.0 spawn supports uid and gid. So there is no such options in 1.9.3

There appears to be two modules in 1.9.3 explicitly related to UIDs:

The recommended configuration in the README uses 1.9.3 so I don't understand why this issue was closed. (Seems like a legitimate bug)
