In tests, for example, _.cloneDeep is used to create multiple instances. I assume you could do it like this:
const _ = require('lodash');
const prototype = require('gelf-pro');
const gelf1 = _.cloneDeep(prototype),
gelf2 = _.cloneDeep(prototype);
