That method is never referenced by any sitemap code. It sounds like another gem is the culprit here. We've had problems before with the extlib gem for example.

If you post your full stack trace maybe I can help you a bit more. It will also depend on what gems/plugins you are including in your environment.

I guess it's lipsiadmin vs. sitmap_generator then. I don't have the trace right now, but I'll look into it and keep you posted.

Thanks!

I tried to find out why lipsiadmin and sitemap_generator might interfere, but honestly I didn't really get anywhere. I'll post my --trace and git list:

This is saying that lipsiadmin is trying to alias a method that DNE.

Sitemap generator doesn't even use ActionView so I'm not sure how this works even without SG. Have you tried including lipsiadmin after SG? and vice versa.

reidab avatar reidab commented on July 17, 2024

This appears to be caused by the sitemap generator rake file (which loads every time rake does) requiring the sitemap_generator gem which, in turn, loads action_view. When another rake task loads the rails environment (task :foo => :environment) after action_view has already been loaded, this chaos ensues. Pull request forthcoming.

This should be fixed in v1.3.5. Can you give it a try and let me know if you have any problems?

hi, I am a bit short on time these day, but I'll totally check it out in the next two weeks and report back.
