This was an issue in librarian-chef: applicationsonline/librarian#159
It is supposed to be fixed. Do these machines have an old librarian version?

They're brand new machines :(
Would using an older version of librarian chef help?

Current versions are:
librarian-0.1.1
librarian-chef-0.0.2

Can you try to comment out these lines in the Cheffile?

cookbook "osxdefaults",           :github => "kitchenplan/chef-osxdefaults"
cookbook "dotfiles",              :github => "kitchenplan/chef-dotfiles"

Just do it in /opt/kitchenplan and run ./kitchenplan

that seems to get further, dotfiles/osxdefaults are referenced in a few users config yaml's and then this happens:

Checking sudo/2.2.3 <https://github.com/kitchenplan/sudo#master>

am dropping both sudo and root_ssh_agent calls inside the Cheffile too - will update shortly

Can you pull? i've changed something in the Cheffile, there was a double dotfile mention. Maybe that's the culprit?

Wondering what changed since yesterday someone here did a full install without issues :(

floodedcodeboy avatar floodedcodeboy commented on June 7, 2024

Will pull.

floodedcodeboy avatar floodedcodeboy commented on June 7, 2024

nope that does not seem to solve it. back to the beginning now. I've pulled from your repo not my fork (being updated via upstream remote)
have you tried clearing your /opt/kitchenplan folder and running it from scratch for yourself @roderik ?

Sorry!!! stop!!
My bad! :(

it works when i use your chef-applications repo - which i don't normally do, we have additions to them which I will do pull requests on rather then managing a separate forked repo. 💃
