Can you provide me with your Asus logcat and dmesg after you connected the
camera and started DslrDashboard?

I wonder if instead of the OTG cable that I am using currently I need to use
this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008TO3PSS/

Don't think, that's a USB 3.0 adapter.
To get logcat and dmesg you can use the Lumberjack or Catlog application from
the Play store.
Do you get a dialog after you connect your DSLR to tablet and turn it on?

No, there are no messages either in tablet or camera when I connect the camera

Could be that your camera is not recognized by the tablet. That's why dmesg
would be handy to see if your tablet kernel has the usb support and logcat to
see if your Android has the usb support.

You need an USB OTG adapter, not just an ordinary adapter.

I just connected my D800e to Nexus 10 and all works except I can't view the
images that transferred to the CF card. Do I need to use SD card? Does this
work for anyone else?
Thanks Dennis

Does it has to be USB 3? I've got Nikon D800 and Nexus 10 and it crashes all
the time

From that screenshoot I don't see anything, at least not related to
DslrDashboard.
In dmseg there are not traces that a DSLR camera was connected to USB.
Maybe you could try another USB OTG cable or check Ainol if they have the full
USB Host support in their Android distribution.

To vihrenpopov #13.
Some logcat or description would help (when the crash happen, what settings the
camera had)
And no there is no need for USB 3, actually I don't think there is an Android
device with USB 3.

Maybe your USB OTG cable is the problem.

Hi, I also have the problem with the D800E but with a Blaupunkt Endeavour 1010
tablet and the OTG adapter cable that came with it. Since USB is only 4
connectors and 2 of them are for data transmission (up and down) and this
adapter works with a USB memory stick, I don't believe there is an issue with
the cable.
Can you please help me to troubleshoot this issue so that I can use my D800E
with DSLR-Dashboard?
I already installed catlog on my tablet but it doesn't log anything but pauses.
Does the tablet need to get rooted first?
Having this working would mean a lot to me and I'm definitely willing to donate
if this works.
Thanks,
Jürgen

Hi Have a Samsung Model GT-18190 android version 4.1.2.
I am able to open DSlR on the devise, with the cable, as not using Wi-Fi.It
will not allow me past the opening page where it asked to connect to a camera.
Have tried differing cables, including USB OTG with the same effect. Any advise
appreciated
Thanks
Tony

Your problem is probably that some other application is using the DSLR.

Jan 16 23:21:59 raspberrypi ddserver: Kernel driver active

You can eventually try and remove the line from the source that does checks the
kernel driver and see if that would help.
