It seems without_count doesn't work once you apply where clause.

Is this by design?

Of course not! And in order to see if it reproduces, I just pushed a test like this, d8a1df8
but (unfortunately) we're seeing no NoMethodError being raised in none of the test matrix.

So could you give us more hints, or craft a vanilla Rails app that reproduces the error? I suspect that you're bundling another gem that extends AR::Relation in some sort of violent manner...

I see. We're in process of migrating from WillPaginate, so this could be because of it, right?
