28-Mon 17:12:14 ul casimir: thank you! looks like completions are sent to editor, it's strange that they are not displayed; would you mind checking *debug* buffer?
28-Mon 17:12:34 ul could be parse error or something
28-Mon 17:14:21 casimir ul: nothing in *debug* and lsp_completions is empty
28-Mon 17:18:41 ul i'm totally confused to be honest, especially if other features are working
28-Mon 17:19:11 ul i've never experienced that kind of bug with rls myself
28-Mon 17:19:58 ul i guess we could ask mawww_imc to look at the log perhaps he would see something suspicious with the sent completion command
28-Mon 17:20:28 casimir ul: this is my version if this help -> rls-preview 0.126.0-stable (f5a0c91 2018-03-26)
28-Mon 17:28:04 ul it seems that rls working okay, it's either completion command is not delivered to Kakoune (which is strange if, say, hover and other features work for you) or it's malformed for your version of Kakoune (which is also shouldn't be the case generally) or some other plugin messes with lsp_completion variable

As discussed on IRC the issue came from racer.kak and kak-lsp fighting to provide completions. It was fixed after I removed racer-enable-autocomplete from my kakrc.
