Zone not showing, Fan speed not showing about homebridge-actron-que HOT 9 CLOSED

At this stage i have not added support to set the fan speed on homekit. you will see this noted in the readme.

Is the living-dining zone the common zone on your system? Does it have a seperate sensor (other than the master controller) that is used to monitor that zone?

Also to answer your question, nope the Living/Dining zone doesn’t have another sensor - it uses the sensor of the master controller to monitor that zone.

Hey @ashishdas81 . I have just published a beta build to npm (v1.2.7-beta.0). It seems to be running fine for me with the changes, but would be great if you could give it a try and let me know. Please make sure to provide feedback so that i can move the changes into the mainline This change only addresses the zone detection issue, I can look at adding fan control option as a seperate enhancement.
Because its published as a beta you will need to manually select it within Homebridge. If you simply open the homebridge webUI, browse to the plugins section, you will see a little spanner icon on the bottom left of the actron-que plugin tile. Simply click this and select 'install alternate version' and select the beta release from the drop down. Refer to the attached screenshot - and please let me know if you have any trouble with install or operation.

Hi @jxg81, That’s great thanks! It is now exposing the additional “Living/Dining” Zone which is the same as the master controller, and I can switch that zone off and on without affecting the Master or other zones now - which is great!

However, there are a couple of things I noticed:

• the new Living/Dining Zone has a battery level also exposed as 0% which is constantly giving this error in the logs [24/12/2022, 2:05:01 pm] [homebridge-actron-que] This plugin generated a warning from the characteristic 'Battery Level': characteristic value expected valid finite number and received "undefined" (undefined). See https://homebridge.io/w/JtMGR for more info.
• The living/dining zone temperature shows as 24.1 which isnt reported anywhere from the other zones or in the master (given the living/dining zone is the same as the master controller, not sure where the 24.1 C is coming from?
• Also notice that the battery level on the Zone thermostats have gone from about 97% - 70% in a couple of weeks of using the homebridge plugin - whereas we have been using the ducted aircon for about 9 months previously. Just wondering if you had any thoughts on this?

Hi @ashishdas81 - apologies for the long delay - Christmas and all that.
The 0% battery level should be an easy fix. Ill take a look at getting this sorted so that battery is ignored for wired controllers.
With the 24.1 temp report - is this always showing the same value (24.1), or is it simply that you are not sure where this data point comes from. Another dump of your controller JSON data would help in pinpointing this.
Regarding the drop in battery level - not sure what could be going on here other than maybe you are using the system more now that its summer :). The plugin only ever polls the Actron web service on the Internet, and does not/cannot have any impact on how the polling operates between sensors and the master controller.
