Hello,
This repository has been depreciated. Please use https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/Android-nRF-Connect-Device-Manager instead, and upgrade to version 0.13.0-beta08. The artifact group id had changed to no nordicsemi.android.
What you described shouldn't happen, as the slot 1 seems to be empty (not reported), so shouldn't be possible to revert to it. Did you try updating using nRF Connect Device Manager app from Google Play?
