winston backend not recognized about plots.jl HOT 5 CLOSED

I assume this is related to the issue you raised earlier: JuliaGraphics/Winston.jl#241

Can you show the output of Pkg.status()?

Also have you tried with any other backends? Winston is probably the least supported of all of them.

I just installed Gadfly and Plots+Gadfly work as expected.
I am using Julia Version 0.4.0-rc1+5 (2015-09-10 03:30 UTC)
