DelayedPaperclip seems to be handling the fie type conversion correctly. I was wrong about that.

So far I've found that reprocess! in delayed paperclip just ignores arguments for for reprocess!. I'm working on a fix now. However it's coming into conflict with the :only_process code from #21 and #22. It's probably easiest to have DelayedPaperclip inherit Paperclip's :only_process option and not have one of it's own. That's what I'll submit here in a moment.
