I managed to solve this issue, by changing the way you emit for readyState = 4. In the following scenario, you defer emitFinal from readystatechange:

  facade[FIRE] "readystatechange", {}
  #delay final events incase of error
  if currentState is 4
    setTimeout emitFinal, 0

I changed this slightly, so both readystatechange and emitFinal is deferred when readyState = 4. I'm not sure if this will have any negative consequences for any other aspects of the library. Any thoughts?

My implementation looks like this:

  if currentState < 4
    facade[FIRE] "readystatechange", {}
  #delay final events incase of error
  else
    setTimeout ( ->
      facade[FIRE] "readystatechange", {}
      emitFinal
      return
    ), 0

from xhook.
