I don't see why that would be necessary.

Also, if we used plain HTML then there's no way to render the post list.

@nivedred The post list - better the post intro (intro.php) - had to be cached. After this you could load new posts via jquery:

        url: '../cache/post_title_intro.html',
        dataType: 'html',
        type: 'GET'
    }).done(function (resp) {
        // display it..
    });

Look at my fork at https://github.com/bndr/dropplets (heavy modified), I made it so that it caches the entire post/page and invalidates the cache on new post.
