It seems that import string has to be
import {FileUploadWithPreview} from "file-upload-with-preview.esm";
from file-upload-with-preview.

I see - thank you for the follow-up answer.
Yea that seems a touch strange, although I've come across projects where some that type of import is needed. I forget what it signifies exactly, but bottom line it seems like your setup wasn't able to find the correct file to auto import from.
That information is listed in the package.json module property here. From my research, I believe I have this setup correctly. But yea it's strange it didn't work in your case.
Glad you got it working. If you push up a test repo with just that minimal example, I'd be glad to take a look.
