I'm afraid the implementation of the restore functionality (in a branch) is stalled at a pre-alpha phase.

I really need a tool to move a lot of email accounts to a new hosting provider.
imap-backup worked well doing the backups. I'm not really experienced with ruby, but if I get it running restoring the backups it will suffice my demands

The restore system is pre-alpha. It requires work on the migration of existing backups to the new format.

The main blocking point is the need for integration testing against an IMAP server. If someone is able to dedicate a few days of work to this, a PR would be gratefully received.

Without the finishing touches to code and good integration test coverage, the restore cannot be used.

@MatejKovacic restore is available in the 2.x release. Please note it is pre-release - i.e. tested loads by me, but I haven't had any community feedback.

Also note that restore (in 2.x) requires that you have an existing backup made by 2.x - 1.x backups cannot be restored.
