See https://docassemble.org/docs/docker.html#troubleshooting for instructions on accessing the supervisord logs. The log files for the redis service, /var/log/supervisor/redis*, and the initialize service, /var/log/supervisor/initialize*, may contain a clue about what went wrong.

@jhpyle I re-installed docker and it started working. weird.

I had a similar issue, and it turned out to be the Docker and/or containerd versions that were causing the issue. My guess is that the same issue was occurring here, and a reinstall resulted in the necessary Docker and/or containerd versions being installed.
