@stecky My work PC is a Redhat linux development system... no garbage. My employer tried to push Macs on everyone too, but I objected. Anyway, all you need to do is change your ID back. Assuming this is what we're talking about...
mount -o remount,rw /system
git config --global user.name "<your name here>"
mount -o remount,ro /system

Workbench does nothing with credentials…
And it has nothing to do with the computer you’re running on…
It’s going to use whatever you have in the global `git config` on the device running openpilot.
Literally has nothing to do with Workbench…

No code changes will prevent it from doing this.
This is because the /data/openpilot directory is backed up and then a fresh git clone of the repo you provide is cloned.

haha... I actually am a PC fan, but Mac is a far superior development machine... mainly because it is a unix-like environment. Windows subsystem for linux is garbage

To elaborate just a bit... it looks like you're running a fork on your device originally by a user called fiftycentsjj which possibly does something with the local git config of the /data/openpilot repository on the device.
If you install commaai/openpilot that user would be geohot by default.
Closing this as it is completely unrelated to Workbench.
Let me know if you have any other issues.
