I think it depends on your definition of monorepo? What is a monorepo?
For me it means I have separate packages for backend and frontend in different directories
Perhaps we can let the user override the build PWD and package script command?

True, my definition of a monorepo involves a framework that handles the linking of separate packages, eg: packages/ui (lerna, nx, turbo, etc)
I'm testing out a few things before putting up a PR.
Yes, good idea to allow user pass their own root path and their own package script command.
For the latter, it might not be necessary if they define their build script to execute w/e they need to deploy.
