This appears to be a bug in temple. It's expect a string argument but receiving a nil argument. Looks like an issue somewhere in the temple call_chain. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with temple. Could you put together a self contained reproducible example that works with Roda 2.7.0 and fails with Roda 2.8.0?

Hm... this could have been caused by the temple upgrade then... I'll investigate this issue further soon.

@badosu I'm going to close this now. If you find that this was due to a problem with Roda, please submit a test case that works on Roda 2.7.0 and fails on Roda 2.8.0 and I'll reopen.
