Thanks, that looks great. I always have a hard time grasping copyright and licensing stuff. Since there is no license in the gist you provided I believe I wouldn't be able to legally use it or slapping an MIT license on it. So could you maybe edit it so that it is MIT licensed?
When that has happened I should probably not add my copyright to it but yours, right?

I don't care about receiving any credit (its a quick hack)...so feel free to just use it. I've put an explicit UNLICENSE in there, releasing the portions I coded into the public domain.

Is this already done? I see the Matrix and VectorName classes in numpy.py.

Yes, the matrix and vector name classes work. I have kept the issue open because the code above hasn't been included in the project yet.
You could check the example directory for the numpy example if you want to use it yourself.
