Forgot to include text of message after time out. It is: "No data returned. You
may
have provided invalid Site information or credentials."

After much trial and error of various settings, it seems to be retrieving now.
The
information on this page was helpful in getting the configuration correct.
Perhaps
the information could be added to the User Guide?

I'd be glad to update the docs. Can you give a bit more information about what
you had
thought should be entered and what was actually required?

Thanks for the quick response. My site is not a Google Apps site, but a general
(free) site, and I was including google.com in the Domain field per the
screenshot at
http://code.google.com/p/google-sites-liberation/

In particular, the sentence "You should only enter the domain name if you use
Google
Apps. "Webspace" is the name of your site:
http://sites.google.com/site/sitename/."
was helpful in getting it configured correctly for me.

On a sidenote, it appears that it retrieves a list of pages to export before
actually
doing any export? My site has almost 2000 pages and it is doing

Retrieved 380 entries.
Retrieved 400 entries.
Retrieved 420 entries.
etc

and each chunk of 20 takes a few seconds. Extrapolated out to almost 2000 pages
just
to build the list of pages to download means many many minutes before anything
even
begins to download. Is that correct?

Or, should we be discussing this somewhere else? A blog?

That makes sense. I'll be sure to clarify what a domain and webspace are in
the docs.

As for the questions about how the tool works, send an email with your question
to the
users group (referenced on the project page).
