Sure I can increase the limit and add playlist reading to the API (assuming
you know the ID or slug of the playlist). Playlist creation requires user
authentication, which is currently not part of the API, although it could
be in the future. I would need to consider playlist publication, which is
currently not a supported feature. Rather, playlist URLs need to be
published/shared by the author to be enjoyed by others currently.

I'd like to add playlist playback to PhishOD. Could an API be put together?

Someone put together playlists of all the key and noteworthy jams from the
charts: http://forum.phish.net/forum/show/1375481252#page=1

Also the guy had to split it over 7 playlists. Any way to increase that
limit?

That all sounds good to me.

I am planning on just maintaining a curated list of a playlists for now.

User authentication has been added to the API although not publicized yet. Details sent via email.
