Any news on this, or idea when it will be possible to bring this back, it was probably the most useful feature on DDT for us.

The last person working on it was Martin Maney on his branch:

If you have a moment, it would be helpful to know if what he has is working for you. The toolbar itself may be a bit dated but if the Caching stuff works that would tell me a lot.
