Yeah this issue is messing with my captcha feature on my website.
Tried to replace all the .get(0) by [0] in the code (why not :D) but its still the same.
I really don't see where this GET request comes from but it's definitely there!

Got it, problem was with image loader. Replace the $images.bind('load error', ... function with the following... to the following

    $images.bind( 'load error',  imgLoaded ).each( function() {
      // cached images don't fire load sometimes, so we reset src.
      if (this.src!='' && (this.complete || this.complete === undefined)){
        var src = this.src;
        // webkit hack from http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-dev/browse_thread/thread/eee6ab7b2da50e1f
        // data uri bypasses webkit log warning (thx doug jones)
        this.src = blank;
        this.src = src;
        console.log('source: ' + src) ;
      }
    });
