DS4Windows doesn't work on Windows 10 about ds4windows HOT 7 OPEN

I am using Windows 10 build 10162 and it is being recognized fine. I am still having exclusive use issues, but other than that everything is fine. What build are you on? Switch to the fast ring and see if your issue persists.

I use the last built, using both wifi and direct connection but in all case, even if the controller is recognized by Windows, DS4 can't find it.

Jay said somewhere before that this is an issue that is on Microsofts end and there isn't anything he can do to fix it, we will have to wait for Microsoft to come out with a fix. Here is the thread #26

Hello, I'm a user of Windows 10 RTM ( build 10240 ) and here is how I could make the ds 4 work in all my games (even if ds4windows tells you it couldn't run the hide ds4 mode, ignore it and try it in game) :

Launch DS4Windows in admin mode

• Uncheck Hide ds4 if checked
• Check Hide ds4
• Launch the game
• While in game, unplug the ds4 then plug it

Replug the ds4 BUT spam buttons right before you do it, I guess it's to set the priority to the 360
Some steps could be unnecessary, but this is how I managed to make it work with all my games. ( tested on dark souls 1 & 2, phantasy star online 2 and project cars )

A new fix has been posted by Vanquo (via mebrad @ InputMappper forums) in the PCSX2 forum thread here: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4Windows-J2K?page=57

Revert any changes you made to your network services and make sure you've selected Hide DS4 Controller in the options. Fix is to just kill Explorer before connecting your controller, connect it, then relaunch Explorer.

The following batch script will do it for you and guide you through the process.

Right-click on your desktop, create a new text file, rename the text file (including the extension) to DS4Fix.bat. Then right-click on your new bat file, select edit, paste in the following and save:

taskkill /IM explorer.exe /f
echo Press any key after connecting your controller.
pause
start explorer.exe

Now just run the bat script and it will kill Explorer, wait for you to connect your controller and press any key, then relaunch Explorer for you.
