openfst wont compile on RPi. about jasper-client HOT 4 CLOSED

I'm also having problems compiling openfst. I'm using a 16gb card, so it's not a a memory problem. It gets to here (after a super long time) and just hangs:

libtool: compile: g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I./../include -g -O2 -MT determinize.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/determinize.Tpo -c determinize.cc -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/determinize.o

I did try @fritz-fritz's suggestion in #34 to no avail. Anything else I should try?

That actually just takes a very long time. Give it like a day. I don't know if the user with only 256M or memory can actually do this on his box. He is talking about ram, your 16gb card is basically disk in this case.

I think you needs to adjust you swapfile size

 sudo vim /etc/dphys-swapfile

changeCONFI_SWAPSIZEto

    CONF_SWAPSIZE=500

Any update on this, @qpaulson ? Did you get it working? Did that workaround help? I'd like to resolve this, if possible.
