The FPU was not being detecting by the 68030, although it was looking for it. Some observations in the oscilloscope suggested another device was not relinquishing the data bus during CPU cycles. Investigation found that the chip select logic for U701 and U702 was asserting during CPU cycles. The logic has been corrected to negate during CPU cycles. The 68030 now detects the 68882. The 68882 is now working as expected.
