Turns off switch? about powermonitor HOT 2 OPEN

A user has reported that the TopGreener TGWF15RM smart switch will turn off after powermontior script runs and successfully pulls the power / energy usage data from the switch, even while using a bogus key. I would caution against using this switch as this vulnerability could be exploited by malware or a bad actor.

I wonder what firmware this is running? I noticed on my v3.3 devices that they were open on port 6668 but would close the connection if they weren't passed the device key and using the 3.3 protocol. It could be related, possibly some ill considered defense thing (eg if someone tries to access device without the correct key, it shuts down). Eitherway it sounds like these should be avoided.
