I think there should be some kind of min-width, because at a certain point the sidebar gets to be a significant fraction of screen-width. Right now the minimum is about 1024px, but I guess it could be smaller.
Maybe 640px would be a better minimum?

Ok, so if the sidebar is the reason, would it make sense to apply a max-width to it instead? It seems more natural and avoids problems on smaller screens.
