Hey there! I'm Jack.

I am a student at the University of Waterloo studying software engineering who is interested in data science/ML, concurrent computing, and blockchain.

💻 Work Experiences

  • Current SWE intern @NVIDIA
  • Previous SWE intern @BitGo
  • Previous SWE intern @BlackBerry
  • Previous machine learning developer @Geminare
  • Previous software developer @FUS Lab in Sunnybrook Hospital.

I am looking for January - April 2023 internship opportunities. If my skillset interests you, please reach out to me!

Clubs/Design Teams

I am the President of the Waterloo Data Science Club. I have designed and presented workshops on neural networks with TensorFlow, recommender systems and clustering techniques with scikit-learn, and data analysis with NumPy and Pandas. Check out my workshops and other side-projects below!

I am a core member on the @WATonomous Path Planning team. I researched video feature extractors for action classification tasks and applied them to the Road event Awareness Dataset (ROAD) to improve upon the 3D-RetinaNet baseline.
