While I agree that this is probably a useful feature, but can be done in a number of other ways:

  • Create a habit that reminds you to do other habits
  • Create a daily recurring calendar event (that pops up) to remind you.
  • Create a daily recurring task in whatever task management system you use (asana, todolist, remember the milk, etc...)
  • Create a daily alarm before bed
  • have tasker remind you and auto-open the application at 9pm.
  • Make a deal with a friend and if he calls you at any time between 8-9pm and you haven't checked your habits, you owe him $5 :P.

There are a ton of ways to accomplish the same thing without it being integrated in the habit app. Also, if you're ignoring your habit reminders, you'll probably ignore the global reminder too, so you need more creative methods (see the last bullet).
