UI Library? about ige HOT 3 CLOSED

IGE already has built-in UI components but there is no reason you can't use something like Zebra if you want. Personally I think the components in Zebra look very dated and windows 3.1 but they do work well.

LOL, yes I agree. The Zebra looks catastrophic. I noticed you were using Kendo in the IGE Editor. Are you planning to merge to your own UI components, or will it be the way to go for editor-like-stuff? (Navigation trees, etc)

@emorling I am using Kendo in the editor because I needed rapid development and building a UI component for each thing I needed would have taken ages.

The problem with Kendo is that they are not canvas-based so if you need to deploy to a mobile using the CocoonJS wrapper then it might be a problem. CocoonJS recently enabled an HTML layer but it's still a bit fiddly.

The Kendo elements look amazing so that is what I'll be modelling the IGE UI components on going forward but the UI components that exist in IGE at the moment are the basics... buttons etc.

I might be willing to put up a cash bounty for anyone who wants to convert all the Kendo elements to IGE... I'm thinking I might hire a contractor to do it anyway so I can focus on the more complex stuff like the networking / interpolation.
