That's very unlikely. Scroll to last uses discord's own detection for when you switch channel or server and then invokes the default action for the Escape key, which is marking the channel read and scrolling the chat.

What I see in your recording looks like a conflict of the visuals with discord's prediction of the textarea height. My first guess would be that due to the width of the scrollbar, words wrap line earlier; i.e. less words than discord calculates fit on a line, and thus this happens.
