AoT compiling not working about angular2-redux HOT 3 OPEN

Sorry, haven't tried AoT yet. Not sure why AoT would have a problem with this being a variable.
But, if function works then go ahead and use it this way. Looking at the code you've provided I think you just need to fix the function implementation to call the factory instead of returning it. Something like this (notice the little braces at the end of the function):

export function appStoreFactory () {
  return createAppStoreFactoryWithOptions({ reducers, additionalMiddlewares: [], debug: true })();
}
