Hi @scottwoodall! The "*" catch all handler does have an extra argument in the first position. It gives you the name of the action it was not able to otherwise handle. This gives you the ability to test the name it was expecting and run different logic if you so desire. In your example, just add a parameter to your callback:

"*": function (unhandledAction, payload) {
     console.log(payload);  // logs the object you send in
}

Hi @scottwoodall, as @dcneiner pointed out, it's the intended behavior in "catch-all" handlers for the first arg to be the action that was invoked that didn't have an explicit handler, followed by the args that were passed to that intended action. I apologize that the docs aren't more clear on this - a massive wiki update is on my list of current tasks, so that should hopefully be remedied soon!
