@erkanAslanel You should specify full type for your appender (TypeName, AssemblyName), because it default to search appender in the log4net assembly:
<appender name="custom" type="APIGateway.LogAppender.TestAppenderSkeleton, APIGateway">
<layout type="log4net.Layout.PatternLayout">
<conversionPattern value="%date [%thread] %level %logger - %message%newline" />
</layout>
</appender>(assuming your assembly is APIGateway)
By the way, it is how log4net works, but not how this package works.
