Nice suggestion, but unfortunately snap.svg.zpd doesn't have this feature now.

i know... i would add it

first of all, i probably have to add a new property which can be changed, like pan_directions="both"|"vertical"|"horizontal"

Got something working already:

I'd start like this:

        // define some custom options
        var zpdOptions = {
            pan: true, // enable or disable panning (default enabled)
            panDirections: 'both', // "both" | "horizontal" | "vertical"
            zoom: true, // enable or disable zooming (default enabled)
            drag: false, // enable or disable dragging (default disabled)
            zoomScale: 0.2, // define zoom sensitivity
            zoomThreshold: null, // define zoom threshold
            touch: true // enable or disable touch (default enabled)
        };

from snap.svg.zpd.

panDirections: 'horizontal' made my day! Thank you. The README should be updated to advertise this great feature.
