Hey Jonathan! Thx for taking the pkg for a spin and especially for taking the time to file an issue/question.
I've been (as scant time permits) seeing if it's possible to augment either either current interface to work like sqlline does since that's the only interface I've seen that handles the use case. Now that I know there's at least one more person frustrated with this (it has caused me pain off-and-on as well) I can work on prioritizing it a bit higher, esp since it's work-work-related (I use it every day for the $dayjob).
