If --persistent-disks
option is not passed to the cli on hpecp k8sworker set-storage ...
, the following error occurs:
hpecp k8sworker set-storage /api/v2/worker/k8shost/8 --emphemeral-disks "/dev/nvme2n1"
...
File "/usr/local/bin/hpecp", line 493, in set_storage
p_disks = persistent_disks.split(",")
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'split'
However,
- the persistent disks attribute is optional, whereas
- the ephemeral disks is mandatory
Example request without persistent disks:
{
"op_spec": {
"ephemeral_disks": ["/dev/nvme1"],
"persistent_disks": []
},
"op": "storage"
}

- https://github.com/hpe-container-platform-community/hpecp-python-library/blob/master/bin/cli.py#L482
Here is a workaround if you don't have persistent disks:
hpecp httpclient post /api/v2/worker/k8shost/8 \
--json-file <(echo '{ "op_spec": { "ephemeral_disks": ["/dev/nvme2n1"]}, "op": "storage"}')
