The reason I didn't touch gpg-suite-nightly is that it's not in the main cask tap, so I had no idea it even existed.
That said:
we just uh, don't know Ruby, so wouldn't be too sure about trying to fix it ourselves
I don't really know Ruby either, but I know from experience that the Homebrew maintainers will assist anyone who tries to "put things right", no matter the experience level. You just have to make the first move...
