And about the same topic, it looks to me a bit artificial to create an HttpRequest and pass it

def test_home_page_returns_correct_html(self):
    request = HttpRequest()  #1
    response = home_page(request)  #2 

since they have already tested the urls and they know how the mapping works, can't they just do a simple

def test_home_page_renders_todo(self):
    resp = self.client.get('/')
    self.assertIn(b'To-Do', resp.content)

For example?
They will get the same error, but in the first case in a way they had to know before that home_page takes one argument, while in the second Django will tell us.
