Thanks for your comment. I believe I can directly mesh the 2D without a 3D volume. However, since we did not implement the boundary consistent orientation field, we might not preserve the boundary.

You may also want to try sharp preserving heuristic with -sharp and see if it works better.

Did you try to save it as a 3D mesh (obj format) and run with our script? I believe it should work. The "-sharp" argument might not be well tested honestly, and I don't think it should be used here. At the same time, I believe we cannot preserve the boundary for now.
