undefined method `update_status' for #<LinkedIn::Client:0xb64c0584> about linkedin HOT 5 CLOSED

I am getting the same problem
though i have done authorization in both ways

from linkedin.

The problem is the version. Use:

gem 'linkedin', :branch => '2-0-stable'

I am able to solve

i used add_share method successfully

eg: client.add_share(:comment => "This is Test Update")
