[Windows 10 x64] Uber : Ride Receipts failed to verify you account. Please try again about ridereceipts HOT 9 CLOSED

@mrgodhani I did try today too, and did test differents hours, each time i have a fail. I have never been asked for my password.

I'm a superrider who use Uber professionnaly daily, up to 5 ride per working day so each month downloading each receipt, renaming it, take me a long time, so you may understand why I'm so interrested in ridereceipt.

@BeSLN That is resolving the captcha from uber side. Sometimes you may have to re run the app. As it is dependent on ww.deathbycaptcha.com service. We have thresholds that if in this number of time it doesn't solve the captcha then it would fail.

Well deathbycaptcha was down yesterday. So if you can try one more time. Because I just tested it and works.

Sorry, I did try again and still the same errors.
I enter my mail press Next and "Verifying you account. This take approximately 1 minutes" followed in less than a minute by "Ride Receipts failed to verify you account. Please try again".
And the fact that it want to verify my account without any password input distress me...

Do i need to open some port on my firewall?

Verify my account is resolve recaptcha step where you click check mark to verify you not a bot. If you go to riders.uber.com and login to your account you maybe prompted to checkmark captcha to verify you are not bot. Password field comes after you verify that. I would suggest to go to that website and see what is going on there. It can be a case sometimes deathbycaptcha.com takes time to solve it and have to do it multiple times (i.e re run the app or start again).

Also that verification is once per laptop/ip address. So if you solve that one time it won't happen again. That's just a security from Uber side nothing from Ride Receipts.

And lastly no there is no port or any thing need to be open. Maybe in later release I will add debug mode as option in preference so you see actual browser. For now that is what I can help.

Thanks for the debug mode!
I did not check the captcha, and the error message appeared to fast to check.
Could it be possible to add a option to manually check the captcha? And/Or to add a remember me in chromium? I can say for myself than taking 2min to check the captcha by hand and downloading all my receipt will not be a bother, especially after taking into consideration the fact than I did spend way too much time each month downloading, renaming and sorting my Uber receipts.
Is there a folder where debug log is generated and can you send the file?

And as a really bad news with the new release Malwarebytes is showing me an alert and quarantine the app! It never happened with the old releases.

Just scanned with the Malwarebytes and there is no virus in it. Also if there was one it won't be on softpedia. Ransomware is something that gets infected on PC itself overall. So your other files or programs maybe corrupted to.

I am really not sure what's going on your end. Need some video evidence with that debug on. And there is no debug log for the api I will look into adding that in next release. For now closing this issue.
